Why is your commitment so important?
Nature needs your help! From mowing steep meadow slopes to uprooting non-native plant species to building dry stone walls, you can actively contribute to protecting threatened habitats and preserving Switzerland's beautiful nature. That's why we offer around 300 community service positions in nature conservation every year, making us one of the largest community service providers/companies in Switzerland.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE NATURE NETWORK?
Not only meaningful work, but also a fun and educational time awaits you! Together with other community service volunteers, you will work under expert supervision in small task forces in the most beautiful nature reserves in Switzerland. You can learn a lot in the process! From how to use tools, to techniques such as dry stone walling, to a lot of knowledge about our local flora and fauna. Depending on the length of the assignment, location and time of year, you may not be able to carry out all the activities we have to offer!

WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU?
First things first! After the uncomplicated registration, you can expect a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, meaningful work, a campfire at lunchtime and an after-work beer in the cozy community service accommodation... You'll be outside all day, staying or getting fit and learning a lot of exciting things about different plants and animals. In the summer, you are cordially invited to the Nature Network summer festival - we'll celebrate the past year and the work we've done!
WHERE CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
We have four different locations where you can volunteer. Check out the special features of our locations: Mittelland , Northeastern Switzerland , Graubünden , Ticino . If you want to be in as many locations as possible and are also available for other exciting projects throughout Switzerland, then our location-independent mobile Einsatzgruppe is the right one for you. You can specify your location preferences when registering.
DO YOU NEED ACCOMMODATION?
No problem! For community service volunteers who come from further afield, we offer free overnight accommodation at all locations. Register early, as rooms are limited! You can view pictures of the accommodation and facilities on the location pages linked in the previous text. If you prefer to sleep at home during your community service, that's no problem if you live within commuting distance.
HOW LONG WILL YOUR MISSION LAST?
The minimum assignment period is 4 weeks. Of course, you can also do longer assignments with us. The advantage of longer assignments is that you can work on more different projects and we can train you more specifically for specific work. By the way, if you work for a long period of time (at least 180 days), you are also entitled to paid vacation!
